I enjoyed my time in Woodstock before moving to Maritimes in 2020. Only there a few years. Would loved to have stayed but missed the boat getting in when real estate prices pre-Toyota. Just couldn't push the button buying a house for +500k when neighbor bought same one 75k 12 years ago..

I always think Woodstock and St. Thomas could be like twin cities anytime I happen drive through them. They still retain much of their historical heritage.

And like St Thomas they've let a lot of their railway history and other things disappear.

@@railpast Sad but true. Fortunately Woodstock has at least been able to retain 3 railroads and an a via. St. Thomas on the other hand has lost way more over time, but maybe there is hope they will reconnect that old London and Port Stanley line. Which I don't understand why it hasn't already happened. It certainly would make for a good summer passenger line between London and Port Stanley and I don't think it poses much of a threat to CN lease the line to the PSTR for that reason.
