Can I ask why the firefighter sitting next to the camera man in the engine has a white helmet? Usually I see chiefs with that which is why Im asking

In many departments a white helmet signify any line officer, Sargent up to chief of department.

At my department it is black helmets are firefighters, red helmets are company officers (lieutenants and captains, we have no sergeants), white helmets are chief officers (deputy chief, chief, OIC, etc). we are trying to move to yellow being recruits, blue are JRFF's

They probably only had one crew that day, and the OIC was riding the seat so the officer in the back had to ride back step
