Hope you guys are doing well out there in Cali and prayers for the ones that are struggling through this wildfire. You all have a great one, keep building those hot rods. Thanks for the opportunity to win one as well.

I love these ridealongs. It definitely helps them iron out any issues before the giveaway. I use to cringe when I saw customers go to those high-end shop builds on t.v. to pick up their cars. And the shop was furiously trying to complete the car. Without any test drives to see what could go wrong. This car sounds so wicked, and that color, and paint work is absolutely breathtaking!

Chris, I spent most of my life in San Diego/Poway. In my High School Days I had a Cortez Silver 69 Chevelle SS 396/375 and it ran like a scared racehorse. I want this car!!!!

I hope the winner is a reasonably skilled driver that fully realizes the power levels & extreme torque this car is capable of even at highway speed & understands it's not like in the movies & there's a reason they have professional stunt drivers id suggest signing up at a school that helps get your nhra license for track days you'll learn a lot even if you are a seasoned driver you'll learn the science of extreme power levels & being safe & things to look for how to react etc

I was selling a very fast street/strip car years ago. It had 28x11.5x15 E.T. street slicks, and needed every inch of them. A lady called wanting to buy it for her sons birthday, and asked how old he was gonna be. She said 16, and politely told her she wasn't buying this car. I explained I didn't want him getting hurt, or worse, and advised that she should look for something more responsible. She thanked me, and hopefully she got him something good he could start with, but I totally get what you're saying, and it's sound advice. Now, where are the keys to that Chevelle, lol.

Im in for it. I would pass 20 cars on a single lane road on my way to work in several cars,trucks from a cameri to a 90 Honda to a Silverado I ended up rolling a truck several times and totalled it. The person I was passing didn't see me and also tried to pass. I learned more that day than all my 30 years of to the floor driving.

I think butler makes an awesome oil priming system that mounts at the oil filter & retains oil at the top of the motor & it has a valve to pressureize during oil changes to help get all the old oil out it's really cool might be good for future builds

With that kind of power, do you also have to occasionally remove the valve covers to re-tighten the valve lash?
@altonleonard1717 күн бұрын
That’s not bad with that kind of power just cruising around have you went 50 miles yet?

I heard that. I get 12 1/2 miles to the gallon in my ‘77 three-quarter ton 2 Wheel Dr. and on the Dyno. It only produced 200 hp over 266 pound feet of torque to the ground with an adapter on the Quadrajet intake for the 600 Edelbrock by just replacing the rear jets from stock .98 to .101 @ 17° at 2500 rpm total with 2 inch flow tech torque thrust full tub headers and I think it was 12° initial on December 27th 2017. 14 years still strong.

Is it fuel injected? If so, you don’t need to use the throttle unless it’s carbureted I have a Holley sniper on my stock sbc and I don’t have to give it throttle like I would with the carburetor. I just turn the key on for three seconds to prime it on the initial start and I’m good to go after that. Of course I haven’t watched the build sheet video yet.
@altonleonard1717 күн бұрын
I just heard throttlebody so it has to be fuel injected that was weird you had to prime it via throttle of course it is a lot of power and I don’t know how cars with that kind of power work.
