I love how San Francisco had the Bart train long before LA even had it's subway and tram system, not too long ago LA only had a Subway with only one line! 😂

If anything LA does need a commuter train like BART. Light rails are too slow.

I just hate how it’s been in the bay area for bout 70 years and still no modifications it doesn’t go to San Jose or Vallejo

@@bladebrown8261 Ummm, BART's first lines were completed in the 70s and the system has been extended constantly ever since. Literally every few years there is a new extension. There's even a running joke among infrequent riders that every time they use BART to go to that annual big game they don't know which train to take because the endpoints on all the lines have changed again (and BART names their trains after the endpoints). As-is, it's an extremely expansive system and they continue to expand it constantly. The entire high speed rail system in Indonesia is shorter than BART! They just extended to San Jose and there is another extension in construction right now deeper into San Jose and on to Santa Clara. There's also planning for a new transbay line that is supposed to continue on Geary to the West side of SF. There's planning for an auxiliary extension from the Dublin line east to Stockton. You can fault BART for other things, but the system not being expansive enough is definitely not one of them. Most people argue the opposite, that BART grew way too big way too quickly and that they need to focus on improving and developing the core system more. Thankfully, this is exactly what BART is doing right now. They just started getting brand new state of the art trains. They're adding modern automatic train control to increase frequencies and they are developing new housing and offices at stations.

@@TohaBgood2 False, it took Bart 30 years to get an extension to San Jose. They were using trains that were as old 40. It takes China two months to put a major transit in city but it takes the Bay Area 50 years.
