Ride on a Community Transit 2013 Gillig Low Floor 29

A good video of a long reroute on route 120, cutting out a part of Locust way thats closed, and instead backtracking up and down 4th Ave, and going what CT thought was the quickest way back to regular route, towards Lynnwood.
I don't have much of the history of the route 120, but it is a very old route, and used to go to UW Bothell. It also used to be half hourly at all times, until it recently lost service and became hourly, allowing more 29 foot buses to go to other presumably low-ridership routes for more rural areas.
The hourly service, along with the long twisty-road routing and the lack of sunday service on the 535 make it very hard for riders to get from the southwest side of Snohomish County, such as around Edmonds and Lynnwood towards places like Bothell. Even restoring half hourly service or more 535 service would go a long way in connecting two moderately sized transit hub areas.
One of my least favorite things about these buses, on EVERY SINGLE 29 foot Gillig, the rear bench all the way in the back has slightly less vertical legroom than possible, and every seat on the raised part has a second slight raise above the aisle, making the legroom awkward, mostly in the very back.

I can’t find anything about the reroute, do you know when it’s supposed to end?

I don't think it was supposed to last as long as it did, but it's showed up on the map for a while. It was only meant to be a reroute around a brand new roundabout being made, and it's been in effect since June I think. CT says the route in the Bothell area will return to normal in September, once the 120 is extended to UW Bothell.
