The additional thing that I carry in my bag is a small plastic tarp the throwaway kind still sealed in the bag, nice and wrapped up so that I can cover the bike with just in case I get stuck in a thunderstorm we get up here a lot. If I plan my rides around thunderstorms, I wouldn’tride. 😂

sunscreen a must, water bladder to fill bottle (put it in the freezer first so it's cold) less bulky than a second bottle, cheap clear safety glasses from hardware shop to stop bugs and rain. snake bite kit, small package of wet wipes, small amount of pain relief, dog pooh bags as a small rubbish bag (leave no trace), power bank, tape, couple of edible bars to leave in the bag. Remember, you can always share these things with another cyclist coming the other way.

Good tips. Also, be very careful when you are sitting on the top tube facing backwards to do a safety video While someone is riding you down the trail and filming with there chest mount. Gotta always be careful with that time.

It is the Los Alamitos Creek Trail in San Jose, Ca.

what is the brand of the waist pack you said you liked?

It is the Osprey Talon 6. I used it for hiking and now biking. Osprey does make waist packs for biking now, might have to get one and try it out.
