I've ridden 500km on my agv K6 in some good and bad weather. So here are my thoughts 1. Lightweight, enough has been said 2. Water drops leaked inside to my face during rains, it even spread to the surface of the Pinlock that faces me and it fogged it. Made the helmet absolutely non rideable. Continued my journey without the Pinlock and both the issues were resolved and I managed the ride in the conventional way (without Pinlock) 3. I ride a Multistrada with a windscreen but Wind noise above 100kph is really bad. 4. Installing a sena is a pain. Speaker cutouts are good things. But attaching the mount is very tricky. 5. It's not as noise isolating my earlier hjc rpha 70 6. The weight, visibility are the positives

I have both the RF1200 and AGV K6, he's spot on in the video. The K6 is really my go to option now. It is crazy how much lighter it is then the light rf1200. I think it flows enough air for me, but that's personal choice. The button for the shield I'm still getting used to but it works fine. I wish it had a spring so that when you push the button it would pop the visor up for you, make me look less awkward when I don't get it the first or third time 😅.

which helmet has wider horisontal field of view? and which vertical vision ?
@jetninjamonkey4 жыл бұрын
“That little button” that cracks the visor to allow more air flow wears quickly to the point it becomes worthless. Mine functioned as it should for a month at best and now if I don’t close my visor anything less than gingerly the visor completely closes. I ride here in Florida in the summer months so all the air flow I can gain is appreciated. Just my thought on an otherwise great helmet.

I've got a AGV K-5S and the internal sun visor mechanism has failed after 1.5 years, it's permanently down as it won't stay up. Seems AGV has reliability issues. Time to try another brand.

I've ridden the K6 for a few thousand miles, my notes: 1.airflow isn't great 2. The overall quality isn't great. Trim is coming unglued already 3. The visor opening mechanism is finicky 4. The visor quality is great 5. It's very light.

Have you tried the 2020 bell star mips? i'm trying to decide between the k6 and that.
@gonzo2214 жыл бұрын
@@syncconan5651 hey, I haven't ridden the MIPS Stars but I own two normal star helmet. Fit and finish is even I'd say. The star will flow more air. The K6 is lighter, has a better visor, and a wider field of view. Both are quality helmets though. But if it was me I'd go for the AGV because of the visor quality. Even though it's harder to open.

I really liked my K3 SV until I didn't. After a couple months, the pads had broken in so much that I don't trust it to stay put if I ever wreck in it. I double checked - it is the right size; if I step down to an MS, the EPS foam presses into my temples. The sun visor also gets stuck in this half-installed position where I can't get it to move correctly, but I can't easily remove it either. After spending 2 separate infuriating hours trying to fix the visor, I don't know that I'll ever buy another AGV.

If you're a commuter and ride into the office during the day and come home later in the evenings, you might like having the ease/versatility provided by the K5-S internal sun visor. For me, I enjoy how incredibly lightweight the K6 is and I don't generally use helmets with internal sun visors. It's all personal preference and depends on what you're looking for out of your lid. Negative. Brandon doesn't just take these products for a ride with the camera equipment on and film his Ride Tested series. He spends a bunch of miles in each piece to determine how it functions, then adds the gear on to record the video. Airflow is one of the few drawbacks on the otherwise great K6.
