The theater being too loud has happened to me too CGB! I was having a couple Wether's Originals after my 5pm dinner and complaining about kids skateboarding in the park. I then decided to go see Singin' in the Rain... but the sound was so loud I could barely hear myself think! I went out and had them cancel the check I used to pay for my ticket, then went and did a crossword instead.

Yep, happened to us too.. it is this one theatre where they legit pump the trailer volume so much it legitimately hurts our ears. I’ve complained once the. I legit just brought a hoodie and cover my ears during action trailers. Me and me gf don’t watch action movies (you can guess why…) but we both thought the Transformers trailer looked good, will give it a shot (solo or not!)

Etali makes me jump for joy when cast, Atraxa makes me weep. There's something about spinning the wheel that feels so much more fun than getting practically guaranteed value. I've seen/had Etali whiff so hard I just had to laugh. I've never seen an Atraxa whiff, even with bad "pulls" she has so much more of a battlefield presence than Etali, and it's so soul sucking to try and deal with an Ataxa when you can't draw removal. At least I can block Etali profitably before he flips, and at least he costs 9 more mana before he turns into a Blightsteel Colossus. More Etali, less Atraxa please.

I second the experience of being in a theater that was too loud, doesn’t happen often, but when it does it’s bad! As always appreciate the great content! Stayed to the end. Our Imax is small and older than a boomer, plus way out of the way for most folks. It is at the World Golf Village and sooooo small and old I doubt it can get loud enough to bother anyone anymore. And I think they said it is the only one for like 600 miles? Crazy.

Previews and ads were always louder than anything else in any theater I went to. To the point some of the previews were astoundingly louder than even the action scenes in the actual movie.

When I went to a local theater the opening theater nonsense was SUPER loud lol and I didn't go for 3D but was given 3D anyway and had to rush in the opening to get my glasses. And yes stayed to the end.

Theres a theater near me that was retrofitted into a imax and its almost always too loud. I dont normally go to imax there but i went to a showing recently and was quickly reminded of how you always leave that particular one with a headache.

I haven't been to an IMAX that was too loud, but I went to a One Republic concert and between the first two acts, they turned the mic up for a Radio host to be heard and never turned it down for the 2nd act. I looked for 15 minutes for earplugs and then I enjoyed the rest of the show. It was way better when they fixed the volume for One Republic. Volume is a real problem

My wife's a professional musician and always brings earplugs to the theater. I swear we're not boomers but TBH even if it's not ear piercingly loud, a lot of the time it's still loud enough to cause damage. Just because you're able to adjust to it after a few minutes doesn't mean it's not "too loud".

Oh this is fun. Ran into an Azorius reanimator that tapped out to bring back a Cityscape Leveler when I had a vampire and werewolf on board. Ended up Breaching into Etali in some combination a few times. Poof goes opponent.

I didn't have any issues with the audio volume when I watched Transformers in Imax the other day. I did hear that Spiderverse 2 had low volume issues in non-IMAX screenings and the studio issued a version of the movie with improved audio mixing to theaters. The new Transformers movie was pretty meh, imo. It's better than the Bayformer movies but those movies had an extremely low bar so it wasn't too hard to better than them. The writing is better in that they tried to develop the autobots/maximals alongside the human characters but it felt like there was not enough done for the audience to connect to the characters in the end. I find it astounding than the 80's cartoon movie that was only 85 mins long is still the best Transformers movie to date.

I want to know if Im cool or not, and the stories (more recent additions), and the tips/what would you change at the end helped me get to Mythic for the first time. Helps the algorithm, and it's also fun! You're cool!

I also saw Transformers today, but not in IMAX, and I thought it was pretty good, solid 7/10. Though, I typically find that issue with IMAX audio being overly loud and either muddled on the low ends or piercing on the high ends. I say this because I am an audiophile and am rather particular about sound quality when it comes to movies, music, and games. Loudness often does not mean higher quality, especially when it comes to neurodivergent people where audio can be a trigger.

Hey CGB. Went to see D&D: Honor Among Thieves for the special Amazon sponsored pre-release showing and the background music and the FX tracks were so loud you could barely hear the dialog. Several times I had to put my fingers in my ears because it actually hurt. My ears rang for hours after.

I've been playing a very similar shell but going blue (a bit)... I've added a few memory deluges to dig for the big stuff (and scores!) and some Jaces to add milling opponents out to the menu :). No Dinos though but I loved the action :)

Is it a bug w/ Anointed Peacekeeper? My opponent cast Anointed Peacekeeper and called for Breach the Multiverse. On my turn I drew Etali and cast it, lucky me it exiled another Breach, but It's not letting me cast it. Is it coz of the plus 2 CC from Anointed? But the wordings from Etali says "You may cast any number of spells from among the nonland cards exiled this way without paying their mana costs".
