it almost sounded like your guitar is a little flat. the tuning on this record isnt exactly standard A440. ive found i need to tune slightly sharp when i play along with the album. try tuning to around A444 or A446. that slight sharp tuning usually brings me closer to a match. if youve already done that then disregard it might just be the fact that one is live and one is recorded lol.

This is an electric guitar, so the intonation can't be bad unless the guitar frets are bad. He van play the wrong notes, but can't be a "bit" sharp or flat

Simply raise the bridge/saddle and your note will go out of tune as you approach the 12th fret, play open play the 12th on the same string then the harmonic at the 12th on the same string if they aren't all the same the intonation is out.. Very easy for it to happen, too much spring tension on the opposite pull can all mess with it

This is the very first Metallica song I heard and the next day I bought all their albums at the time which was Kill Em All and Ride the Lightning... was lucky to get into them early. Keep it up, your playing is extremely consistent... don't know how much you practiced but I went to college for guitar and I have a hard time still with consistency in rhythm.
