Ride to Ribblehead Viaduct and XT1200 ZE Super Tenere 6 month ownership review

6 month ownership review of my Yamaha XT1200ZE Super Tenere discussion during a ride out to Ribblehead Viaduct.
I try to be as honest as possibly by Covering all the good and bad points and a few of the accessories I have fitted to complete the bike for my personal riding preference.

Superb upload that Gaz 👌🏻. I was rather flummoxed at the beginning though thinking where the hell is he 🤔. It was only when you got to the junction of Grimeford Ln I realised just where you were. I'm rather intrigued though on the last narrow lane you was on and where you took the photograph, can't say I've sampled that road, I may have to google earth it as it looked quite promising for me to chill out at lunchtime when I'm back up there as I always carry a camping chair and my own diner with me ya see, don't like crowded places, I'd rather chill out with the sheep and take in the views whilst eating my butties 😂. Great upload 👍🏻

Funny you said about making the most of riding a big bike. I decided to get ride of my FJR1300 and I got myself a new Tiger 800xca which I love. Only problem is I still have my FJR as I don't want to part with it 🤣 And yes I don't understand why they discontinued your bike but they've also stopped the FJR1300 and both are stunning machines 🙄

They seem to be getting rid of all the big classic engines. Everything that comes out now has a smaller parallel twin.

so glad I found your channel.. how good is the headlight at night? how good are the mirrors? how do you find the digital dash clarity? have you had any issues with the spoked wheels? What’s the weather/rain protection like? Sorry for all the questions. :-)

Thanks for the nice words, mirrors are fine, digital dash not had any problems seeing it either night or day, headlights are great and no problems with the spokes so far 😎 rain protection is excellent but ive got the taller Yamaha screen and the yamaha wind deflectors fitted

Great video thanks, im upgrading from a ktm 990 smt soon, just a bit concerened a few people have said the ten is a bit underpowered? would you agree or no? love everything else about this bike.

I'll be honest I've never needed any more torque than the bike outputs, I have owned much more powerful bikes in the past but I've never found the Super tenere underpowered, thanks for your kind words 😎

Hey Gaz, This might not reach you anymore but you've mentioned that you got the OEM higher wind shield, do you by any chance have the measurement of the height of the winshield? cause i've recently bought a S10ZE but i cant find out if its normal or high windshield, in case it reaches u thanks in advance.

Hi there, thanks for watching 👍 I'll be honest I've since upgraded again to a wider power bronze screen, the longer Yamaha one was great on height but being a wide chap I needed a bit more width also.

Ribbleshead viaduct is not the Harry Potter bridge. It is still worth a visit though.

It's been great so far matey, no problems what so ever, had a recall for the rear brake switch and that's the only time it's been returned very happy with it 😎
