one of the best riding video's I have watched. you made it a true American adventure. Superman was my hero growing up. stayed overnight in Anaconda, Mt. at a old independent hotel. i always try to find a hotel close to restaurant or a store, so I can walk after riding all day. purchase my one cold beer. this hotel, tacked on a 25.00 bed tax on check out next morning which had to paid in cash. its checked off my list. sorry for the ramble

I hate going through St Louis because of the crime. so this time I crossed the Mississippi on I-155/US412 going to Sturgis and Burlington Iowa coming back. I try to avoid The Interstates and big cities as much as possible. Instead I travel the State and US Highways. They are less traffic and less hectic. Coming back I had to take the interstate from Peoria to Sevierville Tn because I needed to do that in a day to er ahead of the Storms on the 12th. And it sucked but I made it.

I did Sturgis for the first time this year. Arrived the Monday before the rally (7/31) and left Wednesday (8/9). Had a great time. We camped in our cargo trailer. Wasn't impressed with the campground (Lamphere Ranch). Bathrooms were disgusting. I'd do Sturgis again.. but I think I'd rather stay at a hotel or VRBO or cabin. Camping was ok.. but I wouldn't wanna do it again.

I rented an AirBnB in Rapid City and it was good, clean and comfortable. The only downside was it was kinda far from everything and I spent a lot of time on the interstate. Ideally, an RV with its own facilities would be best....maybe. Hey thanks for watching!!

that motel sounded like a 5 star compared to some of the bates motels we've stayed in. We stayed in one once in Miami and I think they filmed Scarface there. LOL!!!! Safe travels

No kidding. It doesn't look bad at all just old. I guess my a lot of people don't really travel a lot. I've stayed in much, much worse places. Sometimes a Best Western or Marriott is not on the table.

I stayed at a motel near Laconia, New Hampshire. I was there for the road race weekend. The closest motel we could find was about 25 miles from the track. We brought the race motorcycle into the room. A factory Kawasaki, two stroke triple H1 R.. The lock on the motel room door was missing. It looked like it had been pried out with a crowbar. There were bullet holes in the door… The small motel was owned by a couple in their 70s I’m guessing. They were too kind. While we were at the track Thursday before the race, the owners wife went into our room, and took our dirty laundry and washed it. I don’t mean the sheets and pillowcases. I mean our jeans and T-shirts and socks and underwear.. That was in 1971 or 72

Hey Ted I'm from laurinburg NC I just am amazed you drive that far on a motorcycle I've always wanted to do it now I'm a new rider I had went to this years bike rally in Myrtle Beach I'm going again in fall love riding too let me know what is coming up around our area if you know and how I can pack my bags for bike trip what do I need to take. I had to bail on a hotel in Benton Harbor, michigan yesterday. I Found out that the entire area is an extremely dangerous area in general. Made sense since basically the entire area was abandoned when i was cruising through. I'm not gonna state what happened but yeah, It's definitely a no go for me to ever return to that area lol.

I stayed at an OYO motel in Cave City,Kentucky that looked just like that. The shower was great and the bed was clean and comfortable but I would only walk on the carpet with socks or slippers LOL. It was only $40 and I was there for only 1 night.

@26:22 I stay at this old motel when I drive from Iowa to Georgia and back. Yeah, it's a sh*t hole but I like it. The cops patrol and keep it safe. For 70 bucks it's a clean bed and shower.

I especially like the large electrical wire that drapes all across the tops of the doors on the outside the full length of the motel. That is in no way a violation of any kind. It was very creepy, don't think I'd ever stay there again. Props to you bro! Thanks for watching.
