dude, no matter where u see a video about learning how to flatland, flatlands are more in the expert side, you have to learn how to balance on your front peg first before trying this, and this dude did help me do a flatland, thanks man

You want as short a frame as possible and your rear wheel as close to the dropouts because it will make it easier to balance and manual also its easier to handle a smaller bike depending on your height. your seat height is basically a matter of preference and depends on the type of tricks you want to pull...chad degroot the first rider and day smith the second rider are insane at what they do i would also say they are the best technical flatland riders out there keeping this sport alive

Well, these tricks might be basic once we can do it, but what about during the trick and once you want to sit back on your bike. how the hell do you get back to your pedal? -.-

Oh ya for sure. Lot of guys don't use brakes at all anymore because their style is all about movement; as soon as they stop they start their ride all over. Going brakeless is harder but it forces you to be better and more creative and it's just more impressive. A guy does a trick with brakes it's cool but if he does it brakeless it's just cooler cuz you know his balance has to be really on point and the stakes are higher.
@robroy5573
@robroy5573 3 жыл бұрын
I'm a brake rider from 80s/90s and you're absolutely right. In fact, a rider today would practice harder than I did back in the day. The brakeless tricks today are frickin insane!

@350ZnismoTuner I've read a few times that flatland riders often use light chro-mo steel frames, so I don't see your frame stopping you doing anything. This is one quote I just read while googling the subject: "The best flatland bikes feature lightweight durable chromoly steel frames designed specifically for flatland riding"
@aswtx75

Focus a majority of your time riding on the basics. The rest will come after you've developed a strong foundation. Without that strong foundation the advanced tricks will always be just out of reach. The problem with many riders that seriously want to learn is that they do not focus on the correct basics and they don't use their practice time effectively. I made that mistake when I was younger.
