It's so true......I well remember being 5 yrs old in 2006, and Vale was always my favorite rider. But being Canadian, it was amazing to see this guy from North America who made it and was competing with some of the very best riders MotoGP has ever seen. Amazing rider, always was and will be one of the top guys out there.

I was at Elkhart Lake / Road America in 2000, when Nicky scored a double win on his RC51. It was epic, just like he was. Nicky had talent, but he also had class, which is an underrated trait in the world of motorsports. It's a sad day for everyone who has admired him for all these years.

Kentucky Kid, may your soul rest in piece. Always a kind, professional character who was an expetionally talented rider. From a personal experience at the Silverstone Moto GP back in 2011, I'll always remember the phrase "It's cold, it's wet and it's windy." Such sad news and will be a huge loss within the Moto GP paddock. Gone but not forgotten, Nicky you will always be in our hearts. #RIPNICKYHAYDEN69 #RIPKENTUCKYKID An utterly inspiring person. I never met Nicky Hayden, never even saw him race apart from TV but I've always kept an eye on his road racing career through the motorcycle press and all through his career, from all the interviews for race reports, comments from competitors and so on he always struck me as the one guy you'd be genuinely happy to meet, no bullshit, not full of himself, just a really genuine, down to earth guy doing what he Loved. I truly would have liked to have met you Nicky.
