A modified and dyno tuned gxzr isn't doing over 180 unless they have boost. It may say you're tickling 185 190, but the actual speed is about 175.

Yea I dont know about that. I did 160 on my 2005 GSXR600, had a 2014 GSXR1000 and never topped it out but I’m sure it could have went over 180. Granted, both bikes had full exhaust, ECU flash, velocity stacks and better air intake.

I've been humbled by myself when I went to GPS lol. My 05 Busa said 220 on speedometer but when I used my GPS it was only 198. Wasn't topped out so I figured it was wrong, but I used it as bragging rights for a while lol. Once I realized I didn't hit 200MPH I went ahead and did a full build with turbo on the busa and hit 210 GPS

My wife has a 2024 gsxr600 with exhaust and she is small and light and she has gotten her bike up to 169mph. My ZX6R with tune and exhaust will only do 163mph but my gsxr1000 hits 180mph without even slowing down. My wife has the fastest 600cc bike in town and last week she beat a 2008 gsxr750 that was stock with a 200lb guy riding it.

I mean most liter bikes do about 186 with the stock sprockets but could you not get it up over 200 eventually with a more teeth in the front less in the back? or maybe I have that backwards but still lol

You can technically gear it to go faster but that doesn't mean it will. Taller gearing reduces torque because there is less mechanical advantage, so in a lot of cases you will actually have a slower top speed despite being geared higher because the engine doesn't have the power to push the bike that fast. Going 200mph requires a minimum amount of horsepower that the bike he's talking about doesn't have to begin with.

Are tires for those bikes really around 1000$ I do stupid shit on my dirtbikes and pitbikes so I never got a rocket. I figured I'd die on one and I have a daughter so having fun with her seems more important. But I've been thinking about getting a Ducati 939 or 698 Supermozart because I like the dirtbike feel being up higher. Not quite ready for a Harley davidson either. I've rode a couple different bikes that friends have an R6, a 750 gsxr, and some older 750cc bikes like KZ and CBR's from the 80's and didn't much like them. Fast yes but for a long trip bike I've been think about the Ducati. Any thoughts?
