A Tailwhip is when you spin the frame around bars doing a complete 360. It is the hardest basic trick. First of all it is helpful to imagine how the frame spins, what the access is and how you can do it. Stand and hold the bike by the handlebars, do one step forward and bring the frame around with your leg pushing forward. Spin the bike around with your arms. You end up doing one step forward and spinning the frame around.
Now try doing the same thing but from a Bunny Hop. When you get comfortable doing it on the ground move on to the fanbox. Now let's focus on what your arms are doing. Doing this first step they shift to the side towards your rear leg, then you push your bike forward and set the frame spinning, your arms should be following the rotation. Try to perform a circular motion in the air with them. To catch the Tailwhip you arms need to be up on the side of your front leg in about 270°, not completing the rotation. Stretch your front foot towards the pedal while your rear leg descends behind the bike. Now try to step down with your front leg, all your weight should be supported by it.
