I was scammed in February, lost 5 thousand baht for honey and herbs mixed together… in June I was ready for them and saved so many tourists by telling them these people are scammers. Saved them just in time.. Good video more bloggers should expose them too.

I returned from vacation the middle of last month. The first week back I was down by the Pattaya Night Bazaar with a friend, and I had 2 Indians approach me about my weight and I they knew how I could safely loose it. It was the first time that has ever happened, and I figured it must have been a scam of some type and didn't interact with them. Later I found out there was the scam going on in that area. A friend of mine was visiting Pattaya in June and he was approached by 2 guys in front of myth night bars on 2nd road right next to night bazaar,telling him how they lost belly fat as he had a large belly. Afew weeks later i got approached in the same vicinity by 2 guys ( not sure if Indian, pakistani or Bangladeshi) telling me I had bags under my eyes. I said they are useful for when i go grocery shopping and walked off.They have been scamming there for a while now.

On my last stay in Pattaya several months ago I had been approached on two separate occasions by these scammers. I thought it a bit peculiar so politely walked on and ignored them. FYI on both occasions they were Middle Eastern men.

It might not be a big deal to get a license, but it might help someone feel more comfortable if they are new in the country and never had to deal with the local bureaucracy. Thanks for sharing!

definitely you have been befronded. Nice special price for the room. 20,000 a month seems high, but it may include some extras. i found the bubble teas are so high in calories, but there are lower calorie options. the food looked good. scams all over everywhere. my florida condo association scams me for much more. just be happy that you are living a happy and healthy life. thanks for the video.

The German speaking girl is lovely. She drove me to immigration to get an extension back in March. It was her first week, I believe. She was very chatty, but kept apologising for not speaking much English. (Her English was actually very good). We were both joking about the horrendous driving in Pattaya... only to subsequently witness a motorcycle taxi being wiped out on Thappraya Road U-turn in front of Grand Caribbean condo on the way back from Jomtien! If I didn't have a Ms.Mairu already, I would've asked her out! 555

I've seen horrendous carnage on the roads over my 25 years, and one of Ms. Mairu's friends was killed just a couple of months ago by a drunk driver hitting her moped from behind. U-turns still scare the hell out of me on a bike, and I ride constantly "in my mirrors". The marjority of the time I will just use a Bolt taxi, then (a) you have some kind of protection around you, (b) aircon, and (c) it's someone else's problem if/when they crash into you!

I was targeted by those scammers last year when I was living at the base. They would sit outside the 7-11 and comment on my slightly greying hair and how they could cure it. I always told them I like my hair that way pretty much everyday. Glad they finally got collared and hopefully banned from Thailand

I stayed at Coco in Dec/Jan. I had a standard room which was nice but worn (I didn't upgrade), however it is a bit too much of a walk to the Baht Bus (walked past Rage every day!)... Not sure if I'd stay there again for that reason... and the barking dogs next door could be irritating at silly O'Clock in the morning.

The Pattaya and Bangkok subreddit forums have people asking about that scam several times a week. If they succeed to get you into 7-eleven to buy the cheap honey first, it seems to be much easier to fleece you with the snakeoil herbs afterwards. I guess it's the psychology around "sunken cost". If you don't follow through with the herbs, the time and small amount of money invested until that point will be a complete waste. Human flaws and all that...

The Thai DMV takes your photo upon license renewal so how will that work with an agent...?

You cannot get a Thai driving license without going to the test centre. All an agent does is the paperwork (minimal) and takes you there to skip the appointment system.

555. That hair treatment actually works. I'm balding and I dint care but I bought the herbs in oil. I ket my brother used it and he exclaimed it was the best hair treatment he's ever used. I admit it definitely helped my hair. The trick is when you go to the shop buy 1/8 of the herbs they attempt to sell you. The herbs actually work they just over sell it and jack up the costs.
