Glad to see a Pontiac in there. I have heard all it takes is subtle changes to the F-Body platform and you get great results. Ridetech does a great of marketing Suspension packages for all types of builds.

I don't get to look at the underside of many 79 TAs anymore, just my own, and can now easily contrast the difference between one that has extensive TLC and one that was subjected to harsh weather way too often. BTW, this TA was not a WS6, L78-W72 set up. Handling was much improved over the very tired OEM suspension parts.

Im 1:35 into the video and cant believe they didnt at least clean and paint the brackets. Maybe im strange but if it comes off it doesnt go back on without at least being cleaned and painted if need be.

Very Informative, not to over shadow, did the customer ask not to treat the areas? No rust treatment or just spray paint?

Been nice if they posted before/after track times.

Might of missed this in the video, I’m in the thick of it right now with my Pontiac. Did you have to replace the factory shocks?

Why not tubular control arms? I am thinking about one of these kits. Do I use my current rear sway bar? People have also suggested replacing the steering box with a quick ratio one. 1979 1Oth anniversary WS6, W72 package 20k miles. Going with 18x9 Billet wheels. Stock 4-wheel disks adequate (better rotors and pads)?

@ 0:40 it shows lower black shock plates for the rear. What is the part # ? I don't see it in the picture with the leaf springs. I have been buying each part as I get the funds.

Nice kit, I would bet you have a nice one for my 96 Impala..

It would probably handle a little better in the curves if you would add a rear sway bar. This car seems to be a trans am clone to me. But that is cool! You guys make it look so easy! I guess it is when your good!

Was the car sandblasted or is that gray paint?

How much does it cost for that same suspension kit you put on the 79 Trans Am for my 80 turbo Trans Am
@stephenalishaso3 жыл бұрын
I think the kit is about $2500

I see it is a base Trans Am. Rear drum brakes.

I would have thought that you would have gotten a lot more than that for 2500

most of these are unless it's a desert car, almost no rust proofing at all
