Taylor and Ridge leave Café Russe to go to Ridge's Place. Ridge compliments Taylor on her dress (he designed ). Taylor appreciates the flowers on Ridge's table. He explains they are Caroline's. She had planted a garden of flowers for Ridge to remember her. Ridge discusses how lucky he was to be married to Caroline. Taylor tells him how he deserved someone like Caroline. Ridge tells Taylor he is attracted to her. She wants a serious relationship and not a fling. She kisses Ridge.
Storyline Arc: Taylor is counseling Ridge post Caroline's death. Ridge is good friends with Brooke and Taylor is seeing Brooke's brother Storm. Ridge and Taylor are interested in each other beyond Dr and patient relationship. There is back and forth hot and cold between them for months.
Scene notes: this is a significant Tridge scene. It moves their story forward. It begins with the way Ridge looks at Taylor in the dress ( ending the DR/patient dynamic) The flowers represent Caroline and by Taylor appreciating them, it symbolizes a possible approval of Ridge moving on. Taylor sees Ridge for the first time in a different way at 2:00. Ronn Moss puts his signature on the Ridge character here by having Ridge touch Taylor's mouth. It is seen in many scenes between them thereafter. With the Bridge part of this triangle, Ronn had Ridge tapping Brooke's nose playfully. The scene concludes with Taylor kissing Ridge and as frequently seen with the door and window prominent in Tridge scenes, Taylor's exit at 4:22 shows the window first than the door in the dark with a paused exit.
