This is actually a bad review. I’ve had my ridge wallet for a few months and have 0 of the issues he showed. The MagSafe plate that goes on the phone has a sticky film and it’s hard as shit to get off. Also shook my phone with the wallet attached (15 cards and some cash) and it didn’t fall off

Thanks. I was thinking about getting one, but the magnets not holding was a concern. The plate limiting MagSafe use is a dealbreaker.

I totally agree. I just initiated my return for refund. It blows my mind that my trusty PopSocket MagSafe wallet for 30 bucks totally outperforms the ridge. Deeply disappointed in ridge’s decision making and execution.

I agree. Just got this wallet the other day and already started a return for it. The magnets on the wallet are trash. I was def excited for Ridge to make a magsafe wallet but this was poorly executed because I’m not putting that hideous backplate on my case

Just got mine, and They fixed this issue with a smal thin steel ring that attaches to the phone case..And MagSafe charging still works . And the magnetic hold is alot better. Even with other MagSafe accessories like my MagSafe battery banks has alot better hold on my phone now because of this steel ring that came with my ridge wallet

The plate is stuck to my case(3M) and really holds the wallet on but because it is an Otterbox case(not magsafe but works on magsafe chargers) - it doesn't seem to work anymore with any of my magsafe chargers because the added plate must create too much distance.

You can buy magsafe rings that have magnets in them, which are made so you can stick them on walls for somewhere for a magsafe phone to stick to. You could probably buy one of those, and stick them to the back of an existing ridge and bang, DIY magsafe ridge (ring itself is like, 2 bucks)

Where with 10 it would be like a 1/10 strength, with 4 it would be 4/10 strength. Still underperforming to others

And also, the idea of putting the thin wallet on a thin phone and often a case and thus making a nearly 3 cm sandwich that won't fit in your pocket isn't the best IMO. The whole schtick was to sell a minimalist thin wallet and to get rid of "the bulge".

I understand that the magsafe magnets are afterthought, but it doesn't have to look one I wish they could design something much better, it looks cheap and just like a stick on magnet.. I have the damascus version with money strap and quick release ID attachment, I love the build quality and minimalism.

I just got one yesterday as a gift... And everything in this video is so spot on. I love the wallet and I added the tray to a case but now I have to take my case off to charge it on my Magsafe charger and phone holder in the car... It's kind of disappointing that for something so expensive there's a huge caveat

code 118 wallets are much better and affordable I believe they do mag safe as well but you can buy a track card that has battery replacements for free I've had it 3 days but know it is going to be the best thing I've had

Good review which I hope saves people from spending their money on this crap. My money (pun) is on Pop Sockets wallet. Yes it only hold max 3 cards but it handily beats competitors including this ridge., imo.

I just got this thinking I shouldn't take this video seriously. I regret it. The magnet is just weak. The add on sticker MagSafes that stick on the case blocks the purpose of MagSafe on the phone. Not worth it. Unsure why they release a shitty product.

I can confirm your review. I have a pixel 7 pro XL with a magsafe case. With or without the case, there's no way in hell this will reliably stay on my phone. And there's no way I'm compromising to stick the backplate on and lose my ability to mount & charge my phone in the car. I was incredibly disappointed with Ridge's lack of foresight. Sending it back.

😂😂😂 no one pulls cards from any MagSafe wallet while attached to the phone. I bought one and I mainly bought it because of the slim premium design and that I can add an attachment for an air tag, the MagSafe was a plus but not a need, I have and OG Apple wallet and I use that if I need a MagSafe wallet, I think there’s no need to hate this wallet because you don’t like it 😂😂😂 cheers ✌🏼
