I got the bargain of the year with some new tyres from Facebook marketplace to try to fix the wobble in the front and to make all of the tyres match. The patrol is filthy with 20+ years of built up dirt and grime (and who knows what else) so today it is going to get more attention than it has in its whole life. I can't wait to show you the results!

Great video. In terms of paint, have you tried Bully Liner? It's way way cheaper than Raptor liner and is only 1 part (no hardener) so you can keep any leftvoer stuff. I've used it a fair bit and it's bloddy indestructible.... All you need is one of the right spray nozzles and a compressor.

That interior isn’t bad at all! You should see some of the cars I’ve cleaned. I believe that one car I washed which was 15 year old, had never been washed. There was water in with the spare tyres and it managed to spread mould to the backseats

Yo mate, just came across your channel and will continue to watch. As for the barn door yup, as someone below already mentioned a gas strut, BUT there are other suppliers, as I wasn’t prepared to pay the price as some others wanted. Just shop around. I do recommend doing it, it was one of the better mods I made on mine. Have fun mate.

Thanks punchy 👍 I’ve had a look at the bushings. They don’t look too bad. A bit stiff but I’ve seen worse. I’m chucking some new rims on so hopefully that fixes it. If not, I’ll look more into the bushings 🤙

Hey mate your death wobbles will be caused by your steering damper, suggest you buy a tough dog one but buy a brand new one will help so much and get rid of the death wobbles

Wrapping it can also be a budget option if you do it yourself, can buy bulk amounts for cheaper, it’s not that forgiving but you can always rip it off and start again, and will end up looking mint

@@NorthOz I’m almost certain you can buy a good few metre roll for like $30-$40 and then all you’d need is a credit card to lay it out properly, some soapy water and a heat gun, 20 minute KZbin video will show you how to apply it

I'd be just finding a whole drivers door in good condition and swap the whole thing out. roof I wouldn't bother with, or just do a rattle can job with a close-ish match - you won't see it close enough to really worry about it. rest of the paint looks pretty fine, just needs flares and the missing strips along the doors

Hi mate, thanks for the comment. It has 347,000 on the clock. An LS swap is for sure an option but cost is a big barrier. If I get a company to do it, I would be up for at least $20k but it still an option if I could muster the courage to do it myself 😂

this is a perfect candidate for a raptor coat job.... everything else is just going to annoy you long term as it will always look 'used'. Spend the cash on raptor first and be done with it.

I agree. The only thing is the cost. A quick spray paint on the the worst panels would be around $150 compared with raptor which would be easily $1000 as I don’t have the gear and would need to buy it. Yes, it would look brilliant but when scaled to the cost of the vehicle, spending over $1000 is not ideal but I’m definitely considering it

Rub it back and spray it in a Raptor type. Hire a compressor in your diet or borrow a mates. Well worth it. Definitely change from that ugly gold. Other option, buy some cheap wrap online and wrap it. Do it in Camo 😅

Good idea. I know the raptor is a bit pricey but so is the wrap option. I think raptor is easier to work with than most options. Good thinking 😊

I think you should go for a rattle can job on the paint. I’d recommend watyl killrust, can you them from supercheap and they worked fantastic on my car!

I was hesitant about raptor so I did my boat in it After that I was convinced it was the way to go, the most expensive part of my build, but worth it. I’ve had huge numbers of people comment on it and the value of the car has increased more than the cost of the raptor coat

Haha spot on but 3 things: 1. I don’t have shade to wash the car under 2. I figured out that if I quickly bring it under cover to dry, it doesn’t cause spots 3. The least of my concerns with this car is water spots 😂

Rear barn door gast strut kits are the winner. Can do hinge kits too to allow them tom open some more. Cheap degreaser from Autobarn works great to clean and de-oxidise rubber like mats and tyres.
