And I’m not gonna act like it’s some miracle that a professional basketball player hit wide-open shots… How many players have now had career nights against the Celtics Because we left them wide-open, and failed to adjust once they got hot? Which is another reason this game really doesn’t upset me because he is never going to see Rieal minutes. But I am sick of players having career nights because we are giving it to them and then calling it an Outlier performance. it’s not an outlier performance, it’s an NBA player being allowed to play and do whatever he wants because the defense is backing off. Almost any rotational player is going to punish you for that. Like dog I really don’t care that they lost. I just am sick of. Acting like we aren’t the reason they had that amazing outlier performance. And I guarantee if we continue to sag off of rotational NBA players, they will continue to have career highs against us.

Those two final lapses on defense aka JB's $300 shoes sliding all over the place and Kornet losing Sengun were embarrassing. These are games on your home floor that you need to finish. The stats were all pretty even in this game with the exception of turnovers and fastbreak points. That's where we lost. And to me it's as simple as their stars hit big shots when it mattered and our's did not. Tatum started to pick it up in the 3rd by getting himself to the line, but he needs to take more than 14 shots. At one point in the game, he deferred to Tillman instead of continuing on to the hoop. Just frustrating. I felt Brown was good tonight and Kornet despite that lapse on D was solid & efficient. Sure Thompson & Brooks were both on fire, but you knew they would be very confident coming in. I mean when it was clear that Brooks was going to have a night, throw Springer on him. Not mad more so just baffled that they couldn't finish a game on their home floor in which they were up 12 w/8 mins left. Thanks John ☘🔒

The Celtics weakest link is still Mazulla. Yeah players play and if theyre inconsistent or have Achilles heels in their game you can sub for them or work around their handicaps. You cant bench the coach for a quarter or have soneone else take over who makes substitutions or calls timeouts for a quarter. Mazulla is still learning on the job - he gets outcoached way too frequently and gets bailed out by heavy talent. If Dylan Brooks was havjng a career night how come we didnt see more Jaden Springer? Yeah hes a below average three baller, but hes an all NBA level defender. If you cant shoot a three Joe can barely figure out how to use you. Hes rigid and one dimensional. Yeah a good coach establishes an effective system and players adopt to the system but a shouldnt he also tailor his system to his players strengths too? Look at Pat Riley. Did he try to force the Patrick Ewing Knicks into being like the showtime Lakers? No he tailored his coaching to his players strengths in both cases. Now thats a high bar i will admit most coaches have a system and a style and dont change that much. Imo Joe was lucky to be here in the first place, was given a break when the team blew it year before last in the playoffs and they brought him back because he was so new, and, lets be honest, we were little lucky to win it all last year because of all the injuries to the opposition. This is not to say we dont have a great team - we do. Championship level team learning on the job coach. Yes there's been some improvement maybe even potential for Joe to be a truly top notch coach- which he is NOT - but by the time he becomes one if and when he ever does- we wont have the players anymore the window will have closed. With the right coach we could have strung together a run of two or three championships in three or four years - that aint gonna hapoen under Mazulla. And I love our team Im the furthest thing in the world from a Celtic hater.

Mazzulla still has the chance to repeat as an NBA coach because of the atrocity of the eastern conference. The Knicks are not gonna make it far w Thibs playing heavy minutes to his starters; they’ll be mostly injured by the 2nd round. And the Cavs are great but I don’t think they have the mental toughness to go on a championship run. Out west the Thunder are clearly the best team, but as we saw last year, experience won out and that’s why Dallas beat them. @@hectorirene763 yes the Cavaliers have talent, but in those three losses when they had to lead, we didn’t see Donovan Mitchell making an attempt to try and close the game their experience came into play as Ty Jerome threw the ball out of bounds in the Philly game. I also forgot to mention that matchups play a role and the Celtics have enough people to throw at Darius Garland. And Donovan Mitchell when they’re on offense.

John Karalis al I can say is B.S. The formula was KP. They don't pass to him. How can KP get 15 and 17 points in the first half and no shots in the second half. Brooks shot 10 of 15 but the first five were practice shots. I'll say this: if Dillon Brooks was on the Celtics they would have frozen him out in the second half. KP is shooting 50% from 3 the last 3 or 4 games. OK he committed his 5th foul at the 6-minute mark in the 3rd qtr. But in those 6 minutes not 1-shot

They can't cause when tatum stinks like he has alot in first halfs the team has to give him the ball every procession cause he's crying to the coach he has 5 points mid way through the 3 quarter tatum is a problem but you tstum fans are delusional

Why do Celtics fans even bother wasting money on home games and their eye gouging prices if these fools let anybody come here and crush them? They’re supposed to play better at home because of the fans energy but they just roll over. Even though we just won a championship I preferred the prior title team w Pierce/KG/Allen/Rondo. At least they showed energy and passion.

Yall just jack a bunch of 3s. Yall have the most talented roster perhaps, but your 1A guys arent built like that. Amen physically dominated your 2 300 million dollar wings. They won a ring so they good, but no repeats or dynasty being built

JB not only not all defense he’s a big part of the drop off and only an all star 🌟 by reputation JT heaving lazy 3s You have an excuse for them every time but it’s a pattern This was effort Sure they did enough to be competitive but didn’t have any killer instinct Pretty sad they don’t care. If every team has a season high player or career best your defense is lazy and bad

If you think jaylen brown isn't an all star than your a tatum fanboy just say that anyone who blames jayken brown after every game he just had 28 lead the team in scoring again, but its all his fault jaylen brown hasn't regressed in any way it will be nice when he requests a trade after this season and I don't have to deal with shifty tatum fans ever again

You fully disrespected Dillon by not guarding him or even putting a hand up in the first half so you get mad because he got into a rhythm? He’s been at 37% for a couple years now 😂 you can’t be mad because you didn’t read your scouting report. Damn look at those ears. You probably heard the outcome of this game weeks ago 😂

Udoka the Houston coach would never have a player has hot as KP and not get him a shot in the 2nd half in three or four consecutive games. Joe Mazzulla is buddy, buddy with the players and lets them do as they please. I said all this and below because my last time on the chat. The knicks will beat the Celtics because their two stars Brunson and Towns pass to their teammates and allow the other players to score 30 and 40 points. Brown 23 shots and there were multiple 23 shot games recently. Brown running back up the court and laughing with Brooks busting his butt.

Trade KP to Sac for a combination of Huerter, Keegan Murray, Trey Lyles, Doug McDermott, Keon Ellis because he's not appreciated in Boston. I'll love to see him play alongside Sabonis. KP is in his prime and got a chip and Sac is warm and KP is susceptible to cold weather. E.g., if Brown passed out of the times, he's tripled teamed 3 or 4 feet from the basket with wide open players all around the perimeter he'd have an extra 5-assists. At least, it doesn't bother Derrick White because when Tatum and Brown start freezing their teammates out White will throw up a few 30-foot threes and get his self-going. But KP won't do that.
