a couple of things ... 1º, some people don't understand how electricity or micro electronic works, so for some one that know that is not hard to understand you but for the general users that is hard to understand. 2º, that mosfet controller's metal sheet are conductive with the chip it self ?, or can we add a better heat shield to that ? 3º, 2Kw xxiiii, do we need a new connection from the electrical company to have more that 3.3Kwats of contracted power just to hold the computer and still use stuff at home ?!?!?!? are you sure about the power requirements ?? that looks to high Regards

WarGamingRefugee Hey did u work at WarGaming? :)
@wargamingrefugee90656 жыл бұрын
@OutOfRangeDE No, I didn't work for them. I became so irritated with the way they ran their games, that I uninstalled everything and started playing War Thunder. WarGamingRefugee is my name in War Thunder. After a few people had a laugh/thought it was a good meme in game chat, I changed my You Tube name to match.
@OutOfRangeDE6 жыл бұрын
WarGamingRefugee Oh yeah cool. I first played WoT and then WT. I had 10 tier X and nice stats in WoT and quit because of RnG and the will to play a fair game. Then i first only played shooters and stuff for a while until i found war thunder. But after reaching top tier tanks there ( was V or sth at that time) it was pretty much always the same, altough i loved high kill streaks and the ability to bomb your opponents etc. Was quite much fun but sometimes also horibble when u played without teammates. But both good games in their ways when you can live with the cons.

Thanks for review, you are nearly spot on points :). Just few points: Skylake-X even at max LN2 OC it's more like 700-800ish, and actual VRM losses are less than your numbers by 30% or so, meaning even at CPU LN2 the VRM never get over +60c with lil airflow around heatsink ;). I have some thermal photos and power captures on X299 DARK OC Guide at xdevs.com/guide/e299ocg/#splim. I've chosen Intersil VRM for memory to keep things easier on design. There are many considerations, not just power and cost. And you use Kingpincooling Inferno to keep memory above ambient and be happy for long OC, ha. :)

@ActuallyHardwareOverClocking (( Or who ever might know)) Does the"FIVER" mean that the "CPU" dissipates more heat since it has this "additional" conversion "OnChip" as compared to letting the VRM's take "all the heat" for converting to the "final voltage" ?? What is this for a strange slot above the audio outputs? It's too small for an M.2 and there is normally a shield covering it. But this thing is really a beast, it has Creative Sound Core3D Audio Chip, and I am as a proud owner of a Soundblaster Z, know what this chip is capable of. That's truely a motherboard with a REAL onboard sound chip, and not with such a crappy Realtek chip.

Thats the Board I wanted in my new build , but went with z370 Asus X Maximus hero . because who is going to pay 500 USD for that .. almost 700 CAD . Overkill and Overpriced. EVGA boards where really well rounded, The x-58 through x-99 did better with the price and where just as good overclockers. Proper VRM cooling yah but dont expect those 35/40 mm fans to be quite under load unless you replace them with noctua fans maybe but . Bring that price down to under 500 and I will think about it ....

I coulda swore that stock the 7980xe and the 7960x could push almost 500 watts when under an all core load (granted thermals stayed in check). I know those two chips can chew through even a 280 aio and you're pretty much forced into 360 bare minimum. I know if I ever got a 7980xe, I would have 4x140mm worth of rad JUST for the cpu. I really, really wanted to like this board. When everything is installed and running it’s a beast. The problem is qa / qc. It doesn’t exist at evga anymore. Top line products like this should not have flimsy soldering issues or cpu bracket that doesn’t even have, well... a bracket. Just pins sticking out. Too many quality problems at what should be the premier wintel component shop. No more.
@Jolinator5 жыл бұрын
Flimsy soldering? i have 3 of these boards along with some asrock boards and they have been flawless. Sounds like you got open box/ returned boards? there is no way a board ships without a Cpu hold down socket.
