Fun fact for cat owners: if you pet your cat in a certain spot and they start aggressively licking it could be a sign of skin problems! My grandma didn’t realize her cat had it till she told the vet about it. Either that or your cat just loves to be pet in that spot, but you can never be too careful 😂

Can you imagine if we gave our kids the same level of loving fun in naming we do our pets? Names of my pets: Murphy, Pepper, Cretan, Posey, Blackie, Cinnamon, Dig-Dug, Crazy Cat (my dad's over-riding of any name of cat we had when we were kids), Goofy, Boogie-Woogie, King, Goldie, Helmut, Tank, Snarls, Porky (not an actual pig but was a fat pig, metaphorically speaking), Chunky (his almost identical brother), Ghost, Sausage, Dinky (adopted spunky runt that never grew much beyond adolescent size), Tigger (he liked to bounce and spring, he reminded me of old cartoons I remembered as a kid), Murf (cat named after the main way it vocalized anything), Oreo Cookie Kitty, Grampy (ancient one-eyed rescue I adopted when originally having a kitten in mind), Wheels (another broken rescue I fell for, adopted with Grampy), Scrapper, Ugly Cat (alley cat I let in who easily adjusted to indoor cat life, leaving me to believe that old broken alley cat was an abandoned cat), Hissy (evil b^tch kitty, loved me but hissed casually at everyone else), and Foul Mouth (a parrot I got for real cheap, used foul language regularly thanks to kids trolling the pet shop).
