I would say keep a close eye on the forecast and the Buffalo Outdoor Center website has a good section on the water levels, updated daily. In smooth conditions it is a beautiful sight. I have many Alps products, they are amazing for the price point. my chaos 2 has had a decade of yearly trips down the buffalo as well as backpacking through Yellowstone and Glacier NP. still strong still water proof

It is a very beautiful area. It was a wild adventure. I have just recently decided I am going back to try it again this year. I really want to do the whole 125 miles. Really just making sure there aren't any big ones sticking up and then sleeping on an inflatable pad, and you dont even notice them. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
