has anyone tried their vr headset just watching 4k virtual cycling tours on youtube? maybe less nausea because it doesnt move with your head and the video is smoother as its not stitches images together. or maybe that works best just watching a tv screen in front of the bike/elliptical hehe. great idea and thanks for this video Naysy!!

Fun fact, I did this in 1995 because I signed up for medical experiments as a poor student. They tried to make me sick on a bike in VR (such that it was at the time) and gave me ten quid.

I tried VZFit, but the menu text is so small, I can't see it with my vision. I even have fonts in the Quest 2's accessibility settings set to "largest", and it has no effect on VZFit's menu fonts. Oh well.

Someone needs to make one of the bike attachments that changes the resistance based on up and downhill grades in the app. Sure, you could set up a stationary bike that does that, but then you lose the gear shifting you would have with your regular bike. Plus I think it would ultimately be a cheaper and more accessible option than trying to design a stationary bike that simulates street riding.

I'm sure this is in the way. I would like to see one that not only changes speed & resistance accurately, but also that you can tilt & feel suspension from off roading, maybe even one day we will get wind & rain!

I see you like biking in Norway (many of the scenes was from Norway). Can you only select from tracks that VZFit have made, or can you plot your own route in Google street view and use that? Next step is that the game can control how much force you need to bike, like if you are going up a hill or something. And you could put a fan in front of you and you will be really immersed into the game :) I love this review, too bad I dont have an Oculus Quest. Hope it will be available on other platforms too, like my old HTC Vive Pro

You can create your own rides using Google My Maps, or just drop a pin on a map in game and ride from there. The only real limitation is streetview coverage

this is the closest iv gotten to proper proper vr. they had it at my school so i gave it i shot. i have never done hand tracking only head tracking. im getting the quest 2 soon tho (:

Wish they added official support for VR headsets in Zwift. The built it, but did not release it because they kept breaking headsets during development due to getting water logged with sweat.

VZ Play has tank battles, pegasus flying, and riding in virtual environments and is included with the subscription.
