In case anyone is wondering, Adam Savage is in the show! He is as he is - great in it! It ain't Mythbusters without him (now that Jamie is not around). And while I initially wasn't too into the whole idea of kids being in the show -- I've actually warmed up to them. They are a good natured bunch. Plus, it'll pull more kids into science and all, as well as adults (being a family show), so I don't see a flaw in logic over that. : ) Great show!!

@Daniel Kintigh Kids will love it. My 4 and 6 year old nephews are glued to their seats watching this, and they love learning. Told friends about the show and their kids are also glued to their seats, enjoying the show.

@Daniel Kintigh which part of the actual show is "sjw bullshit"? did they choose actors based on gender and race? extremely likely. but the show isn't about that. it's about kids doing fun experiments, which I hope we both agree is a positive thing. if you want to yell at people who say that the show is "extremely progressive" or some shit like that, go call rose emoji bluechecks morons or something, I won't stop you, but the show really doesn't emphasize it whatsoever.

@@RobertKuusk Honestly, I'd assume it was a big part of the process. If the goal of the show is to promote science among children, then having children from all backgrounds would be the best way to do that. You don't want black kids thinking science is a white kid thing just like you wouldn't want girls thinking science is a boy thing. It's not about social justice or quotas, its about the best way to accomplish your goals.

Reminds me of World War 2 bicycles in Holland, at the end of the war, wooden tires or solid rubber tires were used. The solid rubber tires were made out of strips of rubber.

🤣 this reminds me of when I was 7-8 years old and popped my front tire. I didn't know how to patch a tube yet so I removed the tire and rode on the rim until it broke. It's quite jarring to ride directly on the rim

I used to ride all over chico ca with ductape tires...….. fill the groove with tape till you have a small bit of tire wrap around and between each spoke with copper wire.... then finish with a few more layers to make the tire ... then do the same as the wire with ductape to hold it centered... its not a soft ride but it will get you anywhere a regular tire will

The control of the experiment is not constant because with each ride the rider gets better with experience so for a more accurate performance two bikes with two equal riders one with dt tire one without at the same time side by side comparison might be more accurate but hey it's a kid show but they are the future...cool experiment tho reminds me of popular mechanics for kids love that stuff ! they are kids the want to make sure the experiments are simple enough, and not have them in danger of blowing them up with dynamite of canons or very corrosive chemicals or life threatening stunts which both jamie and adam did.
