Did the guy apologise for almost taking both of you out?? I had a similar incident at a track day, a guy who shouldn't have been in our group, ( it was his very first time on a track but he didnt want to start in the novice group) barreled into the first turn after the straight, way too fast, panic braked and lost the front, his bike skidded past me, clipping my bike and straight up the back of the guy in front of me just as he was peeling into the turn. It got a bit...heated back at the pits.

Hows the gearbox on your FZR1000? they were never the most positive changing gearbox at the best of times and higher mileage bikes can start to jump out of 2nd gear. Factory Pro makes a heavy duty detent spring and a Detent Arm with a Microbearing to make shifting much more positive. They also make a carb jet kit if you want to go for pod filters.
