haha when i saw the title of this vid i thought 'why is this even a question' lol. in the uk there's the ATGATT mnemonic (all the gear all the time). most 'proper' bikers you see here always wear protective stuff no matter how short the journey, we all drop the bike or crash at sometime, and paying the extra like you say will pale into insignificance if you are hospitalised with a preventable injury, but i do understand that cost plays a part in a county like india, but even so, vids like this will do something to hopefully educate some to at least do there best. GL

In India, ATGATT is a very difficult concept to practice even for proper bikers. The weather is damn hot, and plus, bikes here are primary transport for most people, even if it is just to go to the local supermarket sometimes. I am one of them; I only have a motorcycle that I use to go EVERYWHERE. Plus, where I live, public transport is non-existent lmao.

Very informative video, thank you!! Recently got Interceptor and planning to buy Tripmachine Derby boots as I can use with jeans well, but are they worth it? Or I should only get riding boots you showed in this video for safety?

I’d always recommend full length riding boots, brother. Derby boots are great but they don’t offer much protection. Check out touring boots - they are more subtle and go well with regular clothes. The ones in this video are race touring so they look a bit loud.
