I started watching this Esme about a year ago and since then she’s inspired me so much to want to learn more about horses and the safety of it but also the fun there is with Horses! I saw how you have barrel raced and done some western trail riding but you should totally try drill team!! Maybe they have some in Europe but in America there are some fun western drill teams.

At my riding school we have to sit with one leg over while in the saddle like you did and after some time you get used to it, but it really did help me with my balance!
