Something I’ve been working on with my pony and has really helped is taking her off the bit and using my seat more to control her and with Dave it might not be the case taking him off the bit (if you do thats incredible) take him gradually off the bit by training him with you seat and whip and slowly taking the whip away but incredible ride well done
