Adam, My wife and I stayed in Paia in 2013 with friends of ours. We also did the Road to Hana but in a Jeep... watching your video brought back all of those memories. It was my wife and I's last vacation together. When we came back to the Main Land she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. We lost her 10 month later,, but I will say our last vacation together was the BEST EVER... we also did the volcano on Easter Sunday morning to watch the sunrise... truly spiritual... watching your video brought back not only those views but also I could smell those tropical smells of the forest... thanks for the flash back... DAWG from Missour the Show me state... Columbia, MO.... friends of Matt Gilbane who welded up your bus and let you stay over night at his bike shop....

Cool! I’m cruising around Oahu on a little Honda 150. Not as cool as those Street Glides. There’s some great rides here as well. Next time you’re in Hawaii come to Oahu and ride up to Ka’aena Point. Heading back to the mainland in a couple weeks for some summer touring on the Heritage.

We went there for our 10-year wedding anniversary. We didn't rent a bike but we did take a van tour over that road and it was a little tight at times. But you are right on about the attractions and the little food stops along the way. I hope one day to ride it on a bike. Thanks for sharing and Ride Safe

Great video. You guys should have done the entire circle because once you get onto the south side of the island past the hana highway bumpy road near Kaupo, it is the best stretch of road anywhere. Brand new asphalt, no traffic, cliffs on your right, the ocean on your left sweeping turns and switchbacks. Breathtaking.

This vlog brought back memories from our honeymoon 25 years ago. We drove the road to Hana in a Jeep and my leg was wore out from all the clutching. We actually took a back road, which was a lot of dirt, to get back to our hotel in Kaanapali(sp) We had plans in May for a 25th anniversary trip back but the Covid19 pandemic stopped that, we'll go later. Thanks for all you do for our veterans.

Beautiful I was there in 79 and 80. the road looks a lot nicer and there wasn't as many road side stands but the scenery hasn't changed much. Thanks for bringing back the memories. Rubber side down and let the miles roll on.

The rental shop told us because of all the guava fruits and water from the falls on that road he did not want his bikes on the road to Hana. This was in 1986 and again in 1993. I'm 63 and gave up riding a few years back because of the dang cellphone driver's, had some very close calls to a few head one. But...that Challenger tho!!!

This is a bucket list type item for me. I've only got to stop in Hawaii on military trips. Just long enough to see the USS Arizona memorial and tour the USS Missouri. Also on that list is Guam. I've been there for a military TDY but should have rented a Harley, I regret not doing that now. Someday, it will happen and I will take my family though we'll have to see how that goes. My wife has never been on an airplane.

Thanks for sharing the scenery, and I’m sure it’s breath taking. Love the rain Forrest, the beaches, the surf, the winding twisties along the way. But 3, 3 1/2 hours to roll 39 miles, probably isn’t my cup of tea. I was troubled with 4th of July traffic on the beach from Malibu to Manhattan Beach, splitting lanes thru brake lights as far as the eye can see. Lol. I’ll enjoy the beach in Hawaii every day of the week. But I gotta keep my riding out West (MT/WY/ID/CO) up thru the pines, the lakes, the rivers, the mountain passes where I can get 6th gear once in a while :)

Adam, My Son's MAMA & I, LIVED ON THE BEACH on Maui, in 1971. I felt GUILTY, Living ON THE BEACH with a BEAUTIFUL BLONDE. Ya know what I did? My Lady & I, WENT to Honolulu. We bought a '55 Chevy, for $75. I took the seats OUT. I had a VW seat, BEHIND the STEERING WHEEL. I put a 4x8 piece of Plywood, on the Passenger side. Adam, THE COPS LOVED waking us up, to say, "YOU CAN'T SLEEP HERE." We ALWAYS slept NAKED. Hey, it was '71. We were YOUNG HIPPIES. This was BEFORE Europe, driving GREEN TRUCKS, WEARING GREEN CLOTHES. We went from The North Sea, to Rome. I GAVE Our Granddaughter, a pic of Her Grandma ON The Eiffel Tower. We used to go to Paris, for THE WEEKEND. Adam, THOSE WERE THE DAYS. JS
