Make sure Mrs. Bobo can get out of the house too, and you'll still be riding. Also, once your kid is sleeping reliably, ride when he's asleep. Half my rides are at night or sunrise. Us bike dads still need our trail time! 🚵♂️

I drove 1800 miles to go stare at the sun. Very much with it. Was very cool. Also brought my bike for some great rides along the way with a good friend that lives halfway across the country from me.

Didn’t start riding until I was already dad and in the first month of riding I broke something on 2 separate occasions. Fast forward 2 years, had my first fracture free season, hit my largest features yet and can’t wait to get my girls into the sport. PS. While is haven’t broken anything recently I was featured on the last Friday fails 😅 so I still crash just crash better than before

Falling off your bike and not getting broken is an acquired skill.

Definitely hits different. I lost all my cardio and get out 3 times a year if I'm lucky. Wouldn't trade my girls for anything though, not even an ebike.

Yep, being a father def changes the riding schedule a bunch and as they get older it gets worse as they get involved in after school activities. I had hopes and dreams of both following my footsteps but both of my girls lost interest in riding. My youngest still likes to fish so I still can get that in often and blame her. 🤣

Lol I'll never understand not fixing something like brakes, let alone losing the new ones... Sounds like my bone head buddy who complained about his front brake for over a year and even had a shop check them out... I take a look at them after a ride and found the bite point was adjusted so far out the pads barely touched the rotor on full squeeze. Holy crap that was a lot of rings to hand out 🤑I dig my 5dev ring I got on the forums for cheap!

Just don’t be the “dads” that hit the trail every weekend and leave their 9 year old son at home. That’s neglect. Involve your kids
