Riding in winter SUCKS

What you should have done when you parked up was pop into Pedal Syndicate, spoke to Amy or Ferg and seen what deals they had on EMTBs! Granted, your ZX12R would be chaper than any of the bikes in there, but when I switched to mountain biking, I felt that my love for motorcycling waned... until you realise the ridiculous amounts of money I now need to spend maintaining a fleet of mountain bikes for the family! Any bike will make for a brilliant case study in corrosion, if ridden hard in winter. Gone were the days when I'd happily be commuting to work in the snow on a 929 Blade, but you just ache with age! Likewise, the amount of autopilot melts on the road who have zero situational awareness, accountability, coupled with a dangerous sense of entitlement makes it less rewarding to ride. I love it when these berks feel the need to light up their rear brake lights every time you change gear or dip your nose over a bump. I generally find the "out of sight / out of mind" approach works well. If you feel somebody isn't confident driving in challenging conditions, despatch a safe overtake ASAP and let them be part of somebody else's problem. Who the fuck brakes mid corner when you've got a clear sight to the exit... unless there's an oncoming car!!!

I feel you man, I went for a ride today and I couldn't feel my fingers after half an hour. Also generally the road conditions were fine, but then there were some patches of ice and I almost binned my bike because of it. Not going out for a ride again unless it's 10 degrees or more...

Being cold is a skill issue 😂. Although when you need to be at your most responsive in bad conditions you're so packed with extra layers you have the least control compared to the summer. I can't even use my indicator 😂😂
