The 29' Gillig you were on is actually operated by the contractor LSF and most likely it was operating a second section of the run the 15100 in front of you was operating. They're supposed to follow immediately behind in case the regular bus hit it's max capacity limit (those have since been lifted). Works well on paper but not so much in practice.

Interesting and true! Especially during rush hour. Sadly, some passengers had to wait for another empty bus (and the horrendous traffic at Collins Avenue).

It's not owned directly by MDT. It's owned by a company which MDT contracted service to aid during the pandemic.

It’s operated by LSF since COVID 🦠! Those Gilligs were brought by LSF. Those buses used to be Madison County Transit
