I had the great pleasure of seeing the Wall of Death when I was a kid. It was part of the midway attractions at the MN State Fair. They too had old Indians. Super neat to see the bikes out front along with the "barker". Lots of the tricks were done back then too. Not the backwards riding though (not that I remember anyway). The also didn't have the old school sprint car either... So very cool. They are correct, this art form MUST be preserved.

Went to the Illinois State Fair around 1958. I was about 9 or 10. They had a similar bike wall show and it scared the heck out of me and my brother!
