I went to Woodward in 98 and watched Dave land his first double backflips into the resi mat and then onto the jump box. everyone in the building stopped skating and we all just watched. then I got to watch him land it in competition in the x games on tv knowing I got to see his practice sessions. a real honor and something I'll never forget

I spent my childhood playing Dave Mira I absolutely loved it me and my mates would try to do the same tricks at our local spot everyday after school, we would launch ourselves of this massive kicker to dirt landing, we would be airborne for 4 seconds then bail onto our feet and eat crap but that was the best thing ever

Was at Woodward in the 80s. It had more of a bmx racing and gymnastics theme to it. The only ramps were a pair of translucent quarterpipes that moved when you hit them. Needless to say, they upgraded a bit!

RIP Mirra. Between him and The Condor (who's XG gold vert bike was the first "real" bike I owned), they really were my childhood. I've been to Woodward and at the time it was a utopia. I can't believe how empty it is? Back then there were day passes but it doesn't look like there is anymore...?

I went to Woodward in 97 and Dave Mirra and Ryan nyquist where doing huge 360 and backflip drops there was alittle competition they had was dreamy lol ...I stayed in one those cabins for a week

I am thinking should so do trip to Canada 🇨🇦 man.. Northshore/ Vancouver is the ultimate dream of riding.. Can literally no joke start at the top of Mt. Fromme and shred some of the best single track in the world.. Onto the street for another 700meters of urban shreddage.. Some of the best man made features the street has to offer.. Such a dream ride spot.. Couldn’t imagine the shinanagins you could get up to.. Ride parks and skate parks everywhere!!
