I liked your video, I had a similar ride in NC 2023 Mtn to Sea ride. 460 miles 7 days of riding. It was fun. I did it for the experience and not the speed. I stopped and took pictures of I saw something interesting. It was a lot of work with the camping, setting up and breaking down, but I learned to cut corners as the week went to make things easier. Again your video brought back memories of my ride.

What were the nighttime temps while camping? We're registered for the big L next year and curious as to whether or not its generally hot at night in IA during summer. We're from GA where its too hot during july and august for tent camping. Thanks!

2022 was pretty atypically cold - it got down to mid 50s at night, but normally it is pretty warm but bearable (70s)!

Good video. There are group rides at BFF Bikes of all different levels in Bucktown, Chicago that I recommend for riding at your own pace with nice people. Their schedule is on their website. It's a bummer RAGBRAI doesn't have hotels to stay in and lots of vegetarian food, because I think I'd love it without the camping. I'm glad you liked it.
