I know it’s a little late but I’ve only just found out you have this channel and have subscribed. sorry to hear about your mums passing, just a reminder that even the legends like yourself have to endure the same pain and anguish sometimes, the same as us mere mortals, may she rest in peace. Whenever I revisit the BTTF movies I have to remind myself what a great and funny guy you are in real life, thanks for the memories, in fact I think I’m going to go and watch them all back to back this weekend now.

Mr. Wilson I just wanted to say from the bottom of my heart I am so sorry to hear about your loss, and just wanted to say you were involved in many big parts of my childhood! You have made many happy moments in my life with my family and myself. Y'know, in my 58 years I've seen all manner of bad visited upon me, including cancer 4x now... most of my relatives have passed as well - but if I'm being totally honest, the single worst thing that's ever happened was my mom passing 28 years ago. I'm still messed up over that to this day, much as I've gotten good at masking it. God bless ya Tom. Riding with you in spirit, brother. - Ed on the Ridge

What mounting system did you use for the camera on your bike, Tom? The video and perspective are beautiful.
@TomWilson3 жыл бұрын
Looking forward (me not in the shot) I either handhold on a tiny tripod, or sometimes use a chest harness. Shooting toward me, I use a broomstick with zip ties and duct tape, or a contraption that I built out of PVC. *note* with the new action cameras on the market from various brands, I do not recommend GoPro cameras, which I find to be incredibly unreliable and not worth the money. One man's opinion.
@jackdispennett7443 жыл бұрын
@@TomWilson Cool, thanks. I’ve tried one of the generic equivalents of Go-Pro for my own cycling (front-facing) videos, but in my experience the mounting/clamp system transfers a ton of vibration artifact through the handlebars and into the camera, making for a crappy video. I’ve actually had better luck with just rubber bands wrapped around an iPhone to secure it to the handlebars, or just taping a regular digital camera to the handlebars somehow.

I think it was Barry Kibrick, of the PBS series "Between The Lines," who told me, years ago, that he once lived across the street from Liberace. Very cool porch railing. I wouldn't mind having something like that on my house. I've also fantastized about having a topiary hedge cut into the shape of a giant Fender Stratocaster. (What can I say?) I'm sorry about your mom. Even though it was her time, when our parents pass, they leave behind a definite void. We learn to cope. I'm glad you discovered the source of your love of bike riding. I'm sure it makes every ride now seem more special, like you're carrying on a joyful tradition. {Hug} You're a good man, Tom. I always enjoy your videos.
