My neighbor built an awesome pit bike motocross track outside of his house over the winter. In this video, I'll take you over for some end-of-the-day pit bike racing on my 2003 Honda XR70R against a KLX110L and a CRF150F. This video was shot using a GoPro chin mount from Dango Designs.

I'm 25 and about to pick up an xr70 for myself. I've got a full sized can am qualifier 250, but I've been missing thrashing around a small bike (I used to have a pw80). These little bikes always seem to be stupid reliable in my experience. You cant kill them. Xr70s seem great and have phenomenal aftermarket support. 110's seem great as well but much more expensive even when used.

If it's really clean, it might be worth $1,500. More realistically though, probably closer to $1,000. I bought this one for $700.

That's awesome! I use a GoPro HERO6 Black with a Dango Designs gripper mount on my chin. There's not a whole lot of differences between the HERO6 and the HERO9, so if you can find some overstock of HERO6 or HERO7 models, you can get them for a lot less than a new one without much difference in quality.

Do pitbikes not have clutches?

Most don't, but some do (KLX110L is an example). Given that they're built for kids to learn on, a lot of them have automatic clutches. Usually, guys will add a manual clutch as a modification.

Hi have you put a different rear shock on? My xr70 rear shock bottoms out on the small bumps never mind doing jumps onit

My 70 is all stock. The shocks on most of the 14/12in bikes leave a lot to be desired. Good incentive to get the landings right, lol.

Man I gota show my son this video he really under estimates his bikes potential, his buddies have 2 stroke kawi 65 and 85 but if he would would learn his 1st and 2nd gear timing he would def do some damage on there pit track he only weighs 70lbs and your floating on this track prob about 185 lbs yourself , he does get nervous on those pops though but he hates getting dusted on the straight runs , nice video

If he learns to ride his 70 fast, he'll crop dust everybody once he gets on a more powerful bike. Slow bikes are the best ones to teach a rider how to get better on the bike. Thanks for the comment!

A little bit smaller, but they're similar in size. The wheel size is the same on both.

I would never attempt to jump my little xr70r. I need to upgrade the suspension. It's almost bottomed out with just me sitting on it. Of course I'm 220lbs. Lol
