And so it begins. My long-anticipated tour of Northern British Columbia. Never heard of Terrace? Put this on your short-list of mountain biking destinations. The steelhead fishing is world-class as well. Stay tuned over the next 5 weeks as I introduce you to the lesser known gems of BC. Rad trails, warm people, indigenous culture, make for an amazing experience. What more can a man ask for? Welcome to the great white north. This is British Columbia as you have never seen it. Do enjoy. People drink whiskey in these parts. Huge thanks to Tyler and Theo for hosting me, showing me the trails they have poured their blood, sweat and tears into, and for the generous donations to the FCF van cooler of fresh, local Salmon and Bear Sausage! I am spoiled.

I would MUCH rather ride those trails, Shangri La in particular, than A-line or any of those jump/flow trails. About two runs down those and I'm good, but on stuff like that that keeps you on your toes, where you make your own lines and fun...sign me up! LOOKING FORWARD to the weeks to come for sure, if it's more like this. That looked like an absolute gas! Encore! Encore! Encore! What's up with your bike? It sounded like it was going to come apart on almost every jump landing or G out? Harsh.

Great vid Nate! as always are you riding in Squamish this summer? Here's ask Nate the "Legend "" is it easy for a good bike shop to over stroke the shock to 55 to get that extra 6 mil in the back & one last thing ; I know you're a Rockshox Athlete, but as you know I'm doing a custom build from frame only & the DPX2 comes as standard is it ok to run the Lyrik with the DPX2 ? As I want to run the Lyrik 160 up front looks sick !! & Less messing around with the set up ! Than the grip 2 !! 👍👌🌲🌲🚵🌲🌲🌲🍻🥃
@natehills9388

In this video, Downtube is black but a ride-around for the one steep rock slab that Nate and Tyler ride makes it blue. Lichen Loop is blue, Shangrila is a solid black. What you don't see in this video is the climbs to get to these trails are all really steep, techy and challenging.

@@mattbare2803 That's what I thought, coming from a road background. The first time I went mountain biking with friends, I walked most of the way and I thought they were crazy. A little work on skills, body position and getting the right bike really makes these trails enjoyable. Now I blast down them. Like anything, it just takes practice. One thing I like to do is session challenging sections until I am really comfortable on them.
