The trams in Toyama seem very convenient and modern. And they are so adorably cute and short too, just two segments! I am from Toronto, and we use longer five segment trams here :)

Thank you for your comment🥰 There are five segment trams in tronto! The Toyama Station tram runs within 7-8 kilometers from Toyama Station. Do Toronto trams run more extensively?

@@tokakatravel The system is 83 kilometres long, but most of it is concentrated near the waterfront and downtown. There are 9 lines and some of them run on the street with cars and some run in their own lanes. I like taking the tram, but it is usually much slower than taking the regional express trains or subway. It is convenient for short trips, and it can be very busy and crowded at times. I see that you tap your farecard to pay when exiting, here in Toronto we tap our card when boarding! You also point out that the Toyama tram also enters the JR train station directly, that happens here too. The Harbourfront and Spadina lines go underground into Union Station, and you can walk across the platform to board a subway train or walk upstairs for regional and national trains.

Thank you for kindness🤗 Also, thank you for telling me the difference between Toronto and Japan.Toronto has a lot of means of transportation, and for someone like me who is not used to it, it might be a bit confusing. However, it would be very fun if I could ride trams, subways, buses, etc.

Can you please describe the method of paying for the ticket with cash? We are going to Japan in April, to Toyama, and there will be five of us adults. Thank you for the information.

Thank you for your comment. You can ride the tram with cash. The fare is 210 yen, and you can ride all sections, and put money in the cash pocket when getting off. No change will be given, so please use the change machine if necessary. They also sell one-day tickets, so if you plan to ride the train several times, you may want to purchase one.
