One tip for Sophie: Spend as much time with Daisy as you can while she is a puppy. My Chihuahua turns 3 in December and it feels like we only got him yesterday. We got him at 8 weeks, and time has gone by so quickly!

Some people wouldn't recommend driving on the road, but I see no harm in it! As long as you follow the rules, and be careful with your horse!

That’s a bunch of bull, in Britain we ride on roads (including dual carriageways, roundabouts etc) a lot especially during winter when alternate hack routes are too wet. We have to hack roads in order to get to our bridal ways. But we also have a strict Road Rider safety Test that starts in pony club and all the way up to BHS and we are to do refresh tests every couple of years. That covers everything from taking young/spooky horses, signalling, COMMON SENSE, rules etc. I suppose every country is different though and I have had international riders here that are a bit taken aback when we take them out on roads

Yeah I agree with you, you can’t really compare other dogs to border collies. Their brains just work so differently. I’m yet to meet another dog breed that works and understands so much like a collie. They’re always on the go, ready to do their job and what is asked for them! I know there are other breeds that are super smart, but collies are definitely on a different level 😂 And dogs have good selective hearing too🤣!! They love to ignore you and pick and choose when they want to listen to you 😂😂

As soon as Daisy can eat adult food, I would put her on a urinary diet. Dalmatians are very very prone to bladder stones because many have issues with the gene that controls uric acid. The special food will help prevent the formation of these stones, which can require surgery to remove. We removed one that was almost as big as my palm once. Just a heads up 🙂 talk to your vet about which food would be best of course.

Yes. Dalmatians are completely odd in thr fact that they can't digest certain things. Called purines. So you have to make sure you don't feed them. They can cause kidney stones and so many issues. They also need a lot of water.

For teaching drop give her her favorite toy and then put a treat in your closed fist and put your hand out to her nose/mouth where she can clearly see it and say drop. If she doesn’t drop it say “try again” and then say drop again. Make sure you use a nice smelly treat so that she can tell that you have a treat. Also a tiny tip for training is to when you ask her to do something such as paw and if she doesn’t do it, don’t keep repetitively saying paw, paw, paw, rather say “try again!” And then say paw. Good luck with training Daisy!

Why can’t daisy have peas, just wondering I don’t about what puppies can and can’t eat. Also try to not say the command like sit or paw a lot just say it once then wait 10 seconds then say it again and when she does it say it then treat or say good girl, and when cutting her nails don’t force anything just introduce it VERY slowly make it the most fun positive experience possible just helpful tips no hate :) Also did anyone hear about that 14 year old girl who passed just the other day in a horse riding accident, it was so sad. Hi Laura! It was me that commented on yesterday’s video about little Daisy possibly showing signs of being deaf. I hope I didn’t come off offensive with the comment, I only wanted to share my experiences because we were not made aware that our Dalmatian girl was indeed deaf and had a hard time with her until we did finally realize it. Now many years later, as an adult I rescued our sweet boxer boy Zero as a deaf baby. He’s so silly and smart and such a love! If you want to just for piece of mind try with Daisy, I would have my daughter squeak a toy right behind Zero while he was focused on me to see if he would react...we were already positive he was deaf but from time to time we would check for any reaction whatsoever. I am so happy that you decided to get Sophie a sweet baby of her own. She is such a kind, compassionate soul and as a fellow avid animal lover, I appreciate Sophie’s passion toward animals. I hope you all have a wonderful day!💙
