I have been working on my steep trail riding. More recently I have focused on riding jumps however the other day I went to ride down something steep and got really spooked so that is when I decided I wanted to put in more time and properly work on my confidence going down steep trails.
Danbury common was the best place for this as I know there are quite a few steep hills. So I went with Tom Cardy and tackled them. There was one in particular that I could drop if I went in with a bit more speed however I didn't pull properly and almost went over the bars!
I hope you enjoyed the video!
Kara :)

If you want to learn to ride tech then you and Tom really should head down to Tidworth freeride. Wicked place and full of rooty, janky lovelies!

Well done, Kara! Whenever I see videos of "steep hills" or "very steep hills" I'd like to compare it with the steepness of the hills in my area. I sometimes measure the steepness of my favourite hills with a smartphone. So I know that I can ride hills (and stairs) with 30° (=57.7%) steepness without any problem. However, hills with 45° steepness rather scare me off, at least, if they are higher than a couple of meters. Do you know what steepness you are tackling in this video in degrees?

good content...Once you master those steep hills...perhaps you could challenge your self on some stair sets of doom! peace out...cheers to all the MTB riders.. 🇨🇦

Hey Kara, I would like to ask for advise if your okay withh that. I'm currently 5"7 and looking at a new bike that if I don't get soon will go off sale the medium size ranges from 5,6" to 5'10" and the large ranges 5,10" to 6 something. I don't know what to do and was wondering if you, or Tom could give me any advise (15 years old)

The best advice is to get the size you feel comfortable on and is easy to handle, if that is the one not on sale so be it.

Kara's best line ever, "My bad, I thought I was going over the bars, oh well quite good I didn't die!" Yes I saw a bit of whippage on the jump Kara. Doing great.
