Was knocked by a a minibus taxi on my Harley on my way to work on Monday (Cape Town) and currently have a broken foot and contemplating riding again. Then I remembered you had a fall on the Pan Am and in a cast and seeing you back on the bike and riding has motivated me not to give up riding!

Damn, I'd like to see an actual test ride review of the engine. Every video is the same. Everyone understands how quick an engine like that moves a bike at WOT and high revs, but I'd like to hear someone commenting on basic stuff like off-idle torque or fuel mileage. How is this engine in daily riding?
@2LaneLife Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, all of the helmet audio from this ride had some sort of recording error and we had to improvise when editing it. We each rode it and tested pulls in various gears while recording our initial response, but it didn't work out. We agree. Thanks for the input👍 In our experience, it would be a reasonable daily rider as far as being a smooth and comfortable ride when not giving it the beans. We only rode it locally, so we can't really speak on the fuel mileage. Thanks for tuning in👍

But will it last for 20k miles, from what i've seen with the 117 & 131's.....probably not. My 110 tire shredder (2011 dyna street bob) is plenty enough for me.

My 107”/128” Stage IV makes 139 HP and 140 TQ. Is that crate motor really worth it for just 3 foot pounds of torque and less force power?

For some, being able to get that right out of the box is worth it. It is also a great starting platform should one want to just add cams and a tune (or more) to get some monster power. All preference 🤙

E.P.A. emissions compliant (50 state or once again, 49 state only, excluding Kalifornia?) and a 2-year warranty...when tuned with the HD-SE Tuner, catalyst equipped exhaust and presuming when Dealer installed (?). 130hp & 143 ft.lbs. of torque at the wheel is decent power. Would imagine with a Cam change and tuned with non-HD tuner would easily yield north of 155hp & 160torque (dependent on cam choice). Now for the elephant in the room, specifically those of us in the biggest motorcycle market in the country (re: Kalifornia): C.A.R.B. approval? Pending? Why is the Motor Co. (HD) taking "forever" to get Stage Kits (& Crate Engines) available here (Kalifornia) for our local HD Dealers can "legally" sell & install these to us and maintain warranty?????????????????????????????? Waited 2 years just to get the Stage-2 cams (Torque cam / Power cam) for a 2021 Road Glide. Ridiculous! Stage-3 and Stage-4 Kits still not available.
@2LaneLife Жыл бұрын
The EPA makes it pretty dang hard for large and small companies alike to be able to pull that off in a reasonable time. The moco does absolutely everything in their power, but it inevitably comes down to restrictive CA politics. The 135 will be 50 state eventually

I dont see the need for that much power unless you are doing track days. Why is it so important to some people to be 1st off the line or have the biggest motor lol I guess there are those insecure people that seek the attention or require validation of other?
@2LaneLife Жыл бұрын
Different strokes for different folks, that's all! To have an out of the box motor with the power of a built bike but still under warranty is pretty dang cool. The power comes in handy more than just off the line (aside from maybe in Florida haha). Thanks for watching, Snake Bite👍
