I know that what ima bout to say is probably a bunch of gobble honk but I like to think of friend as a version of petaly if he wilted and didn't hold onto his previous identity and instead JUST wanted success with a new identity (along with the lightners coming around alot further along the timeline of the chap 3 darkworld petaly is in where cowboys became popular again for a little while explaining why loggy is even a thing in the first place) so while his wilted form is still able to hold onto this mortal coil and has yet to blow away, he makes a deal with loggy after finding out he is quite literally hollow to essentially become his pull string voice box and with time is able to use what is hard coded into it to speak his mind, thus causing the fallout with tenna and loggy. later on, now being known as friend, he begins to figure out ways to fuck up loggys body incase of combat and also so he can take revenge upon tenna when he can exert much more on demand control rarther than needing the string to be pulled or broken ( I like to think this version of petaly turned into friend is much more resentful towards tenna and eventually becomes jealous of loggy managing to be more successful than the show friend had as his time as petaly thus also becoming resentful of loggy at some point alough this comes along a few months after the argument) Eventually when the pullstring breaks and he is given full control, he doesn't know what to do with it as he is WITHOUT A DIRECTOR (usually being loggy as their relation-ship is said to be symbyotic), something of which petaly ALWAYS longed for after tenna threw him to the side lines, so he just makes loggy's body larger so he can catch up with the lightners and take the soul of Kris. Feel free to say ANYTHING you want about this but I only thought of this due to petaly's wilted form essentially just being smoke with eyes (and petaly's eyes being able to be moved in anyway he wants in his concealed form so thus I thought the same would apply to wilted with them staying yellow as the friend version of petaly I just made up right now wanting to mostly distance himself from his previous identity down to his wilted apearance) anyways that was one HELL of a mess of words I just threw together based on a few small details on something I saw in the remains of loggy with the eyes of friend being yellow and free floating like petaly's.
