8:40 the emergency walkway is on the other side. If the train is stuck and is unable to be moved, they'll open the doors on that side and have passengers walk to the nearest station. Also, if you look across the platform those doors are used on the other train.

That portion of the terminal you are in is approximately 1 mile long end to end. It's a huge reason the tram was put in when that was built in the early 2000's.

Just to answer your question at 08:32; Both trains have doors on both sides as the platform-like structure on the eastern edge of the track is an emergency evacuation path, so if the tram breaks down at any point passengers can be safely evacuated through those doors. The first and third trains you had seem to be set to use the western platform at the middle station (Rather than all trains automatically passing to the right hand side) which would be typical of a Doppelmeyer cable-hauled system, though I couldn't see any such cables in this video. 😇 The bicycles are there for operator and maintenance use, and allow quick access to any part of the guideway to address any issues without needing a long walk. The chap who you saw on the bike in the first trip was probably a supervising operator, stationed there to assist passengers and respond quickly to any breakdowns that occur. 🔧💨👍

@Take_Flight At around 9:39 in the video, you look at it. Seems like this was during the fountain renovations. You can see the signage by the fountain bar.
