Victor Thompson, formally of the BFI, shoots and narrates the closure of the railway from Ilfracombe to Barnstaple, North Devon.
Although the summer traffic was very busy, it was rarely used outside of that and financial losses started to take their toll and the line was closed in Oct 1970. Much to the sadness of the locals.
