Riding the SkyLink at DFW Airport

Part of this footage was used in my Puerto Vallarta trip report, which can be found here: • TRIP REPORT - American... I decided to upload all of the footage I shot on the SkyLink system during two separate layovers at DFW this past March. That's why some footage is from the very early morning hours (and it's dark outside), and some is from the later morning hours. The SkyLink is an automated people mover system used to transport passengers between terminals at DFW Airport. It runs in a loop, and trains are available in both directions. It's my favorite airport people mover anywhere because of the incredible views it offers of the whole airport.

Thank you for posting this. We have a child traveling alone and his flight was delayed several hours into DFW so he had to rebook his connection and only has 30 minutes to get from one side of the airport to the other. I sent him the link to your video and we're all confident that he can catch his connection on time, thanks to the skylink.

Brought back memories for me-I got stranded at DFW overnight in August of 16. As soon as I could I rode the tram around and around in circles until I could get my plane. Thanks for publishing this ;)

This brings back a lot of memories. My father works for American Airlines and my family travels once or twice a year. I’ve always loved waking up early and going to the airport just to experience the skylink. Many people may not agree with me but I just love going to the airport, the smell of coffee and the sound of busy people. It just all mixes so well and creates a relaxing atmosphere. I also love aviation so looking at all of the airplanes was so much fun. Just watching this video made me nostalgic.

This is definitely one of my favorites too! I rode this back in 2008 on my journey to China! We had a connecting flight from Atlanta at another terminal, so I had lots of fun on this! :)

Always liked these Bombardier APM systems, at pearson airport in Toronto all we got are cable driven trains (cable in the middle of the track that pulls the train, 1 train per track).

Wow I went on this 1 or 2 years ago from our washington visit with my dadand holy crap this brings back memories... We had 3 hours to wait till our plane arrived and then take 1 hour or so to board so yeah it was like 4 hours so we rid on this for a while all the way around the airport and then we played at a videogame area with xboxes and man it was fun I wish I could fly again!!!

It’s been updated since this video and I wish they would change the sounds and voice. They should get new trains too. Also when the dart train started going to the airport they did a edit it goes like this (original voice) get off here for gates A1 through A21 (deep voice) and dart train.
