The actual layout is a clone of Deep Space at Imagicaa which has top speed 44.7mph. The top speed of EpicQ is 56.5 mph so presumably it launches to that to go up the tower backwards, then it slows down to 44.7 mph to finish the rest of the layout.

Yeah it seems like they only added the reverse launch and spike to take the record of tallest indoor coaster. Its a cheap copout but given how obsessed these countries are with having record breakers of anything its not really surprising.

I went on EpiQ Coaster last Saturday while on holiday, the backwards launch was crazy!!! From what I remember, there is no second launch, just the momentum from the freefall takes you round the track. Keep up with the great content @CoasterStudios 👏👏👏

That’s because middle eastern countries want to distract easily impressed regular people from their horrible human rights abuses and general misogynistic society and laws. They go to huge expense and break roller coaster records on purpose so that you don’t notice that the government is completely corrupt and women are treated worse than cattle. Qatar is this. The United Arab Emirates (Ferrari World) is this. Saudi Arabia (future tallest, fastest, longest roller coaster) is this. It’s all to distract people. Especially Americans. Don’t look away.
