My cousin used to run with the Regulators, plus my mother's friend's brother named Turk. I remember being in the window with my brother when we saw a female letting off the guage at somebody in the direction of 54th and Almeda. As kids, we'd have to sleep in the tub on some nights because the gunfire was that crazy in the 80's/early 90's. Those first floor windows in 439 got shot out more than once.

This is very sad to see this video. My family was one of the original families that moved in the Edgemere Houses in 1961. It was 73% white, 14% black, and the rest mixed. It was good place to live from 1961 to 1968. Almost all the families were working class and middle income. It was relativity clean and safe for a NYC area. Then the admissions standards were changed and allowed poor people (welfare people) to move in and from 1968 and on the Edgemere Houses became a slum/ghetto with increased gang violence. This did not exist from 1961 to 1968. White families began to move out becasue they could not longer take the increased crime. My family had to move in 1973 becasue it too became unsafe. Such a beautiful place was destroyed becasue of poverty. This time you cannot blame the city. I lived there and went to NYC archives (LGA Community College) to research this so I know what I am talking about. I have been there several times in 1978, 1984, 1998, and 2013. It is still a very sad place to see.

I used to live on the first floor in 439, then moved to 411. The night we finished moving to 411, K Nice got shot in front of 439. I lived on 69th, 29th, plus 92 Street as well. From my foolish behavior while living in Jamaica, I'd occasionally get kicked out of my mother's house. From having a lot of family out there, my relatives would take me in. My aunt Naureen held me down a couple of times.

@charlesxplosiveii62063 жыл бұрын
@@farrock22 Brother, I am a little amazed by your response but I’m gonna keep it constructive, take what you like from it or not. You speak in the video like you’re speaking to people who may not be from Far Rockaway bye-bye your response to me and the photography of the video you are only speaking to people from Far Rockaway. Take a look at peoples videos when they’re giving you tours. On the good videos you really know what the neighborhood looks like after watching the video. Remember people who are watching your video have never been there before. When I left you the note I was trying to be constructive but good luck with your channel, by your response to me I know you’re not really getting it. Peace and respect

@@charlesxplosiveii6206 peace and respect, I appreciate the constructive criticism, but after the" Seriously dude" I didn't take it as constructive. Pardon the response. I understand where you're coming from. I also have tour videos during the day, I decided to record since I was already in the neighborhood and there is a crowd for those that want to experience these neighborhoods at night also. I will take what you wrote into consideration though and thanks. Check out my other joints. Much love family
